I brainstormed a couple of concepts for chocolates created with 3D Chocolate printers, which allow to create single designs without having to use the traditional chocolate molds. I asked myself the following questions:

Who is the Client?

People looking to have & gift quality chocolates. They appreciate luxuries, technology, afternoon rituals, quality of taste, & bespoke gifts. They have an eye for design: they want to see care in the making. They are open to newness and to the World. They care about special things, one-off items.

What kind of chocolate box would this customer like to receive? What name would they like to hear? What name says quality, conveys uniqueness, makes a special ritual, marks exclusivity, tells of the warm feeling of chocolate, spells out sophisticated technology? It has to have a sense of legacy, and a daintiness—but include bold and tech traits.

Solution

I came up with the name "Chocologies", because it invokes the delicacy of chocolates and a scientific, laboratory approach to making the chocolates, like perfumes in specialty shop.

The branding was aimed in a market where there is an emerging demographic of savvy people with taste. A big chunk of them speak French, and also communicates in English. "Chocologie" has an aura of old French science lab. The tagline and frame contemporize it, and gives the brand a startup vibe.
